Organizing a workshop (or class) can be a very rewarding endeavor, especially for the kids involved. The following possibilities are different from "field trips" because you do need to supply a venue for the day (or ongoing classes, in some cases), either your own home or a facility that you rent/borrow in the community. If you rent a facility, you may also need to factor in liability insurance for the event - check with the facility before you commit.
